Playtime, parties and more projects

Whahoo!! It has been a wonderful few days. We had a dear sweet friend of ours go home to be with Jesus. The funeral or going home party was so beautiful and full of the Lord's presence. We will miss her dearly.

Friday we did a lot of running after school was done b/c Bryan was home all week which was such a blessing. We were able to pick up two short, wide dressers for Sarah from IKEA that fit almost all her clothes so that was wonderful since she doesn't have a closet yet. We organized her room and finally unpacked all the boxes in her soon to be closets. Oh boy did that feel good.

Saturday some friends came over for an Usborne book party which was a lot of fun for the moms as well as the kids. Bryan and Sarah were such great helpers and took all the kids to the playground so the moms could look through all the wonderful books. After that we went to some friends house for some wonderful pizza and relaxation.

Sunday was also full of excitement b/c our friends Kelle and Ali dedicated their third baby girl, Olivia. They had a lot of family come to the service and then a dinner afterward that was very nice.

We were pretty exhausted when we got home...but just couldn't get a great idea out of our heads. For quite awhile now we've been debating on taking out a wall to open up the downstairs part of the house. We converted one of the bedrooms into a media/school room which was the room directly next to the living room. But after a few people had said for us to take out the wall we decided it was time. So we had someone come over to look at the wall to see what he would charge us to take it out, but he never got back with us. So we figured we'd save ourselves some money and do it ourselves. Bryan looked like a little kid with his saw taking out drywall and studs from the wall. Boy was it a mess, but about three hours later we were done and it looks so weird, but it will be so nice when it's finished.

This is the door that used to let you into the room. We are planning on putting a half wall there.

Our new wall:-)

I forgot to put in this cute picture of my mom with Sarah at the Disney on Ice show that Mom took us to in Minneapolis a couple weeks ago.
