Well, here I go again, with another week gone and no bloggin' goin' on! But I'm here now! So, Sarah had a fun day on her actual birthday which was the 26th. She had a special day with Mama and Daddy at Chuck E Cheese for games, then out to lunch at Macaroni Grill. She was very blessed from all her Grandmas and Papas as well as Aunties and dear friends who made her big day very special by sending cards and precious gifts. Thank you so very much for making her birthday last over two weeks! We even received another birthday gift today...God is so good to us and we know He is using our friends and family to be His vessels.
I have no pictures to put up b/c I forgot my camera in a friend's glove compartment and we both keep forgetting to remind the other to get it. So you'll have to use your wonderful creative imagination to picture our adventures over the past couple weeks. It really broke my heart not having a camera for the sleep over with Sarah's friend, Gigi last weekend. We took them to a ceramic shop where they painted their own bowls. Then went out for dinner and ice cream. Then we came home to swim at the pool here at the apartment complex. They even went to bed at a pretty decent time. Once we got them up we got ready for church after having some yummy homemade waffles with fruit and went to praise the Lord in JAM.
Yesterday, our friend, Lindsey and her 11 month old baby, Alexis came over to have lunch and swim. It rained all morning, but there was some sunshine so we went to the pool while we had the chance. It was such a blessing because it was as if we owned it. We had it all to ourselves. Plus, the sun seemed as though it was shining only over the pool for us! Thank you, Lord:-). We even got a chance to babysit Alexis while her mommy went to pick up her husband, Doug so they could come over for dinner. It was a lot of fun, but then some pretty serious storms started to blow in just while they were getting ready to leave. Tornado sirens were sounding outside, so we waited for a window of opportunity for them to head out. We are thankful that the Lord kept us all safe.
We are planning on August 29th for a closing date on the townhouse in Warrenville. The appraiser is going to be there tomorrow so we'll see what the appraisal comes up as...we are very excited to get moved, but still have a month to go after the closing with our lease here so we are going to paint and get some other things done while we have the chance without furniture in it. It will be so nice to have all of our things in one place instead of split between the apartment and storage. But we cannot say enough about how the Lord has blessed us at this apartment. It is so quiet and peaceful here. What a prayer answering God we serve. That was our exact prayer and our Jesus came through for us once again.
