WE ARE A FAMILY OF PUMPKIN HEADS!!!!!

Scary things happen when you move to Chicago. They say that there are strange things in the water, but I tend to disagree with that!

Actually, we had a fun filled evening at the local pumpkin farm. We took a stroll through the pumpkin patch, lugged several pumpkins freshly removed from the vine all the way through the patch, loaded them onto a radio flyer trailer, lugged the trailer all around the place, got to the exit and we all three of us stood there with a dumbfounded look on our faces when we saw tons of pumpkins stacked by size, ready to brought out to your car. But first you had to pay extra for the pumpkin! Well after paying to get through the door in the first place, I was not about to pay extra for some silly old pumpkins. Although we were getting used to having them around, I was forced to abandon them as we slowly walked out and headed home.

There were some fun things to do: Duck races, tire mountain, haybail forts and of course the goat feeding pen. The worst part were the poor ducks that were forced to race time and time again. I was actually suprised that no one had called the human society about this abuse they were forced to endure. What shocked me even more, was that Tammy and Sarah took part in this. I have pictures to prove this very fact. See for yourselves!

Tammy and Sarah abusing ducks! Actually they were plastic ducks, but it had me going at first too!

As the days pass by, we are heading straight into the fall season. The leaves are falling, we are gladly wearing sweaters, we get to wear jackets and there is a crispness in the air. It has been cool enough at night that when we take patches out in the morning, he comes in shivering. So we had to do the only humane thing, bought him a little doggie hoodie sweater! It probably did not help that we had him shaved the week before, but that is life.

Have a blessed and wonderful day. Send the warm weather our way and we will wait until the north thaws out again in the spring.

Oh, my goodness - reading this makes me miss you guys so much more than normal! I don't really know why, maybe the pics or just knowing how many things we always did together. Anyway, looks like it is a little too chilly there for my blood, but it looks so pretty too! Let's talk soon!! T
