Heart of Enemy Territory

Well it has been a while since I have had the time to say anything. I figured this would be a fun one since I had the chance to visit a couple of neat places for work recently.

I sort of felt like a spy during the Cold War going behind enemy lines! After all, it is hard to a Minnesota Vikings fan living in the heart of Chicago Bear country and neighbors to the Green Bay Packers. Add to that, the fact that my wife is from Wisconsin and so is my father-in-law. I do not hold that against them. In fact, I love them both. We have fun joking back and forth about our teams. No, I do not really follow sports, it is just fun to see the standings every so often!

The best part is that I was at the heart of both teams last week! I made a short visit to a site near the home of the Packers, Lambeau Field in Green Bay, so I had to stop by and take a picture.

Later that week, I was inside and all over Soldier Field in Chicago. I even went down onto the field to take a picture. I was going to go into the locker room and make a sign saying "Vikings rule", but we ran out of time.

But I had to save the best for last! There is a running debate about the team colors of the Packers. If you are from Wisconsin, you say the colors are Green and Gold. If you are from anywhere else and are normal, you would call the colors Green and Yellow. So in the fanatical world of Green Bay, the best proof of green and yellow is how they paint the fan warming huts at Lambeau field. See the picture below and let us know what your choice is:

1) Green and Gold or 2) Green and Yellow

Hope you had a laugh and a blessed day!

OK, I guess if I understood the lingo, that would be really funny! Not to mention that I thought this was going to be a spiritual update about prayer and storming the gates of hell! Well, you made me laugh, anyway and it was good to hear from the "man of the house!"
