Wow, didn't realize how long it's been since my last post...yikes! Well, we have a new home as of Friday, August 29th and pictures b/c my parents brought their wonderful camera when they came on Friday to help a ton with painting, painting, painting and some shopping as well...teehee! What an amazing blessing Mom and Dad were to us during this whole weekend. We had such a great, but exhausting time with them both. Our friends Doug and Lindsey came over Saturday afternoon to help paint and boy did things move quick when they got there! They were such a tremendous blessing to us. We'd probably still be working on the living room if they didn't help. I don't know what we'd do without family and friends in Jesus! The Lord has really blessed us! The location is wonderful, the neighborhood seems very family friendly and quiet and the house is just the perfect size for our family. We are so excited to be in this home, Lord willing, for a long time to come. We are going to be in our current apartment for a couple more weeks until we can get most of the painting and a few other things done around the new place. Our lease is up on the 26th so we need to definitely be out before then. I cannot wait until everything is in one place again. At least when we lose something there is no excuse about it being in storage or in a different location. HA! The home is more cozy than the places we had in Florida, but we love it and it is soon becoming what we want and like with color. Thank you, Jesus!

Our backyard with a cute deck and plants.

Dad, Doug and a bit of Bryan working on the living room.

Mom really not wanting her picture taken...

The living room after it's finished. It was a yellow before.

The master bedroom has a lot of work. Everything is painted a shade of purple, even the inside of the door as well as the trim and ceiling! Ugh! That will be last for sure. When Bryan and Dad took off the skinny chair rail it ripped off parts of the sheet rock. Sticky stuff!

This is the kitchen before we started to paint...

Bryan taking down the blinds.

Sarah modeling the new color in the dining area and the downstairs bathroom starting to be painted. That was purple also. Bryan said, "No way!"

Dining room with a fireplace? It was built in the 70's...that's all we have to say!

Mom working hard on the edges of the mantle.
You can't tell with the pictures all that well, but the color is Terracotta and looks wonderful. It has warmed it up so nice. We also painted the fireplace the brown that we did in the living room and it looks really nice. We'll try to post more pictures when we get some...we found a little friend the other night under the stove, but I'll have to tell you more about him/her later.
