Yikes! It's Been Awhile!

Ok, it's been much harder to blog up here in the North country for some reason. I cannot figure out where the time goes...but things move much quicker here. Maybe it's b/c everything and everyone are so spread out over the suburbs of this huge city...There has been a ton going on with us along with taking trips with Bryan for his job, going to our home towns to visit family, practicing for the children's Christmas play as well as the Candlelight service, working on the house, and school. We got our first REAL snowfall that stuck this past Sunday so the roads were pretty messy. Typical of the Aslesens, we couldn't find our scraper to clean the windows of the car, so Bryan used a spackle spatula instead. Then our sweet neighbors helped us shovel the driveway b/c we couldn't find our shovel either. You'd think we just moved up here from Florida last week...but Bryan again used what we had and shoveled the deck for the dogs with our dirt/garden shovel. It worked pretty good. The dogs have had an interesting time with the snow and cold. At least they don't take so long to do their business!:-) I will post pictures later when I have time, but the picture with the title is at the Cascade Falls in my home town of Osceola, WI where my sister and parents still live. It really is a beautiful town. We met a man while we were at the Falls and he just moved there two days before we spoke with him. He was so thankful for the town and said how beautiful it is. He even counted the stairs on the way down to the falls from the mainstreet and it was a whopping 147 steps! So being as out of shape as we are it was quite a workout getting up those steps after pictures were taken. We also went on a trip with Bryan to St. Louis which was a nice get away for all of us. More on that later... Jesus has been so good to us and we are truly thankful for all He has given and continues to give us. He just keeps amazing us more and more each day! We miss and love y'all so much it hurts.
