I know, we are a little slow

After numerous complaints that we have not updated our blog lately, we have been forced to do it. Then again, if you know the Aslesen family, we are generally late to most events. Why should we change now?!! I guess that our time in the south has rubbed off on us. We are a little slow in updating our blog. In reality, it was a mixture of several factors including: the slow response of getting our internet connection going by the phone company, the craziness of getting settled in an apartment and running around looking for a house. Excuses, I know, but there is usually some truth in an excuse.
Actually, it has been a big adjustment because we greatly miss so many wonderful friends in Florida. I guess you could say that it is a mini case of the blues. But, my God is so awesome and has blessed us with awesome friends here in Chicago and Apopka. While we are thousands of miles away, all the memories and special times are fresh in our minds. There is something amazing about prayer, it works over long distances.
All right, I had a choice of doing one BIG blog and catching everyone up about what has been going on. Or I could do a series of small posts so that there is something new everyday for all the enquiring minds that want to know. In fact, I am not sure what I would like to do as I am writing this.
OK, I have made up my mind. I will do a series of small posts, that way WE do not miss details and we can add pictures as WE go.
I just pray that everyone has a blessed week and that God will do something awesome in your life.
