To God Be the Glory!

Wow, what a weekend we've had! Sarah has been involved with Junior Bible Quizzing this year. She has learned and knows 184 scriptures! I know that Tammy and I wish we could know that many scriptures. Sarah earned a medal for learning all of the scriptures for this year in only 6 months. She learned an average of 10 per week. On top of learning the new scriptures, she would have to review and practice the ones she had already learned so she would not forget them. It was a lot of hard work, but the fruits of her efforts came to pass this weekend.
Sarah and her teammates, Jiliane and Erica, participated in the the Florida District Jr. Bible Quizzing State Finals tournament today. They finshed 3rd out of 7 teams for this tournament. Well done to all three of them for all the work and effort they put in.
On Friday night, we attended a banquet to hand out awards for the regular season. Their team finished with the 2nd highest points total from five one-day tournaments. They earned a great trophy.

Sarah also received another trophy for having the highest points average for this tournament!

The biggest surprise of the night was when Sarah was voted the Beginner level quizzer of the year!!! Voting was completed by all the coaches and she was a near unanimous pick. We were all pleasantly surprised and happy for Sarah. This is a great honor and reflection of her spirit and hard work. We are so proud of her!

This has been a great year and an awesome experience for Sarah. She has made many new friends from across the state of Florida.
It is hard to have to leave so many friends behind, but she is a better person by knowing these great kids. They will all be missed greatly. We pray that we will meet them again next year at the national Jr. Quiz tournament.

Tammy and I would like to say a very special thank you to Dawn Jones and Tammy Devore for their selfless dedication to all these kids. It is a big sacrifice of their family time to hold practice and travel to the various tournaments. We have seen Sarah do something amazing this year. Part of that is God, but the other part is that you help make it exciting! We also would like to thank all the other parents and wonderful people who have helped throughout the year.
