We had our last Kid's Connection service as a couple last Wednesday since Bryan started his new job at Lutron today. Kid's Connection is the children's ministry that Bry and I have been helping to lead on Wednesday nights at our church here in Apopka. Well, we were completely surprised about the whole service that night. Our ministry team (Pic: Dawn, Bryan, Me, Tammy, Mark and Shanna) had told us that it was going to be a fun and laid back time since Bryan was going to be leaving Sunday. They worked so hard to make it a special night for us and boy was it ever! They started out by making up some silly rules that were only for Bryan and I. Then "Hands of Praise" performed the song, "Thank you for giving to the Lord" in sign language while Bryan and I sat in the front, smack in the middle of all the kids. Boy, was I ready to explode with all the emotions I had during that anointed song. Bryan even cried. We all needed Kleenex after that...
But, no, Tammy D. couldn't stop at just that...then she played another beautiful song about friendship by Michael W. Smith to a power point slide show she had put together with pictures of the kids and us during KC services over the past two years we've been leading it. Bry and I were both overwhelmed by the love that Tammy, Dawn, Mark and the kids showed us during this surprise and much appreciated service.

After all the tears of thankfulness, came the laughter during a fun game that Tammy and Dawn made up for us called "Who wants to move to Chicago?" We had to answer trivia questions about Chicago and if we got it wrong the kids took turns wrapping us in toilet paper. Bryan, of course, got only one wrong and I think I had only one right! Oh well! Bryan still got wrapped b/c he was getting pretty prideful...teehee!

Then they presented us with wonderful gifts and cards from all the kids.
To top off the night the kids even "painted" our car for us.My head is swimming with the words to a sweet song that talks about thankfulness to the Lord for all He has done. It goes something like this: "Thanks, thanks, I give you thanks for all you've done. I am so blessed. My soul has found rest. Oh, Lord, I give you thanks!" I am so incredibly thankful right now for all Jesus has done for us and continues to do each and everyday. We have been so blessed with the kindred spirits the Lord has had our path cross with for such a time as this. For that
I am eternally grateful and will never forget their kindness and love. You are truly disciples of Christ! We all love you forever and a day!

You have no idea how loved you are! It truly didn't even feel like work to put together a service for you guys because of the respect, love and appreciation that we have for your family! You guys are awesome and we have been blessed to grow with you and to be a part of the Kingdom together at this time. You are so dedicated and your passion for the Lord and the kids was an inspiration to us - we are so blessed as well!
